The apex, the award winning state of the art venue in the heart of Bury St Edmunds continues to go from strength to strength.
Since opening in October 2010 The apex has developed its music and entertainment programme to bring both big names and community artists to the venue embracing all musical genres and tastes.
The impressive venue has attracted numerous awards reflecting the architectural splendour of the building and received excellent reviews and accolades from audiences and artists alike for its impressive acoustics and facilities.
With over £1,000,000 worth of tickets sold and over 170,000 visitors since opening it is apparent that The apex makes a notable contribution to the local economy.
Sara Mildmay White, Cabinet Member for Culture & Sport said ?I am absolutely delighted that The apex, having won many prestigious awards is going from strength to strength in delivering an excellent and popular arts programme. In addition, it is making a significant contribution to the night time economy, the prosperity of the town and its cultural offer.?
Tony Doherty, Venue Director at The apex said ?I am very proud of the team at The apex and the support given by St Edmundsbury Borough Council. This hard work has helped to build an impressive reputation in such a short time and I look forward to continued success and becoming the best venue of its type in the East of England?
