Internationally recognized as one of the top jazz pianists and singers of our time, Buddy Greco brings his big band to The apex on Saturday 18 February, for an evening of music, stories and anecdotes from his days in Las Vegas.
Buddy is a sensational jazz pianist and singer who has worked alongside the likes of Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Junior and Dean Martin. He is dubbed the classiest act in the business and ‘the singer’s singer’ and he can list a string of A-list stars and musicians with whom he’s worked including Jools Holland for whom he has been a guest on ‘Later With Jools’, twice in the last two months. “We had a ball!” said Buddy speaking of the much acclaimed televised piano duet.
On New Year’s Eve alone, the legendary performer headlined at Ronnie Scotts, the Savoy and Jools Holland’s Annual Hootenanny.
Buddy has just released his 70th album 'Live at the Sands Las Vegas', which includes a version of his famous 1960 hit recording 'The lady is a tramp'.
Energetic, vibrant and with a charismatic appeal that has earned him a new band of young followers, he plans to open his own club in Central London later this year.
He is joined by Lezlie Anders with her portrayal of Peggy Lee, so sit back, relax and transport yourself back to the 50s and early 60s when the songs of Buddy Greco, Peggy Lee, Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald & Nat King Cole were at the top of the charts.
