The Apex Live at 10!

Tuesday 23 February 2021 - Sunday 21 March 2021

Times: Mon to Sat 10am – 5pm, Sun 10am – 4pm

Prices: Free

Venue: Apex Gallery

This exhibition by our resident gig photographer, Shawn Pearce, features all his favourite live event photos – and ours!

The first musician Shawn photographed was the hugely talented guitarist Jon Gomm, back in 2013 and it continued from there. He explains, "after learning more about live music photography, I upgraded my camera gear, and it became the perfect scenario - attending concerts in my hometown and being able to photograph them in such a beautiful venue".

He continues "I photographed my 100th concert this February, by the fantastic Levellers, which was great timing as it coincided with The Apex being 10 years old!"!

“One of my favourite concerts was by Gregory Porter, and there have been many more highlights, such as bands I grew up watching, like Ash and Turin Brakes,  music legends like Suggs, Bruce Foxton (The Jam), Suzanne Vega and the world famous Kiefer Sutherland last year, who I never dreamed I would ever photograph live!"

"I am now looking forward to photographing my next 100 concerts, and the next 10 years of great music at such a stunning music venue!"

Opening hours:
Mondays to Saturdays - 10am-5pm
Sundays - 10am-4pm

Occasionally, the Apex Gallery is closed to the public. If you are travelling specifically to see an exhibition, please call the box office on 01284 758000 before your visit.
