Times: Mon to Sat 10am – 5pm, Sun 10am – 4pm

Venue: Apex Gallery

Unfortunately this exhibition has been cancelled.

Until January 2019 Andrew Player had never painted on canvas before. When he was young he used to pencil portrait draw, but a tremor in his right arm put an early end to that.

The paintings in this, his very first and unexpected exhibition, are exactly what you see - no philosophy, no extravagant hidden meanings, thoughts or reasons. Just bright paint on canvas.

Andrew suffers from SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder)  during the winter, so he needs to bring the colours of the spring and summer into his home. His very first painting was done in secret, in his garden shed, with household paint, just to see if he could create something that he was happy with - it now hangs in his hallway, along with several others.

He hopes you enjoy looking at his paintings for what they are.

Opening hours:
Mondays to Saturdays - 10am-5pm
Sundays - 10am-4pm

Occasionally, the art gallery is closed to the public. If you are travelling specifically to see an exhibition, please call the Box office on 01284 758000 before your visit.

The Apex Gallery is situated on the first floor. Drinks bought from Aspretto in the foyer can be taken upstairs, so feel free to relax on the sofas with a drink and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.

The vast majority of works on display are for sale. For further information, please ask at the Box office.
