Saturday 11th February 2012 TweetIpswich-based Wolsey Orchestra, conductor Anthony Weeden, launches its 40th Birthday Year at The Apex, where it played to a packed house last February! A rousing welcome to the 2012 Olympics Year leads into Stravinsky’s melodic tribute to the ballet music of Tchaikovsky. Bury’s Jamie Foreman, the orchestra’s leader, plays the beguiling violin solos in the ever popular story of Scheherazade.
